Ellis Jay is a 58ft narrowboat with all steel construction (hull, cabin and roof) believed to be built by Harborough Marine.

She has a large cruiser stern deck with pram hood cover which is home to a beta 38 engine complimented by a PRM 150 hydraulic gearbox.

The boat is laid out internally in a reverse and trad layout with the accommodation from stern to bow flowing from the galley via an enclosed heads with a hip bath and cassette toilet, then the cabin and into the saloon at the bow. Additionally there is an enclosed cratch with carpeted floor.

The boat has an integral water tank at the bow and would make an excellent leisure or liveaboard boat.  The boat has also been last blacked on the hull in October 2020.

The boat has benefited from a recent inspection from a surveyor who commented that: 

“…it was found to be structurally sound on the day of the survey…”

Additionally the following ultrasound measurements have been taken along the hull and base plate of the starboard side of the vessel:
